Online spys may infringe microsoft patent

As you can read here and here, Microsoft has acquired a monopoly on intercept technology. The patent seems to be based on modification of Skype technology to reroute packets communicated between two computers to allow your calls to be digitally wire–tapped more conveniently. In the widest claims the patent could be applied to all eavesdropping of all communication between any electronic devices (games console, psp, DS, computer, camera, fridge, washing machine, photo-frame, whatever), and reading the data of all accessible data on any storage devices attracted to those devices.

So those breaking the law by intercepting internet communications, you now have Microsoft lawyers to worry about too, spying is now Microsoft business.

Patent can be found here (Patent 20110153809).
